TROOP 399 COMMITTEE MEETING - June 1, 2010

Sunday May 29 - 30 Scouts and adults were at the LI National Cemetery Flag Planting.

Monday, May 31 - 17 Scouts and adults marches in the North Babylon Memorial Day Parade

DATES TO REMEMBER -

    Saturday, June 5- Flag Retrieval - Scouts and adults are invited to retrieve flags at the LI National Cemetery starting at 8 AM.

    Saturday, June 5- 9 AM - Alex Marange's Eagle Project - Our Lady of Grace, WB. Scouts - check in with Alex for info and supplies needed.

    Sunday, June 6 (raindate - June 27) - 8 to 5 PM - Strawberry Festival - Our Lady of Grace Church, WB - SCOUTS:  sign up for working times, starting at 7:30 AM and ending at 6 PM - Class B Uniforms. Parent volunteers -please arrive at 5:30 AM.  The First Aid Station will be by the main gate.

    Saturday and Sunday, June 12 and 13 - 9 AM - Jonathan Quarant's Eagle Project at the NB High School - check with Jonathan for info and supplies needed.

    Sunday, June 13 - Kevin O'Brien - Eagle Court of Honor - 3 PM - Town of Babylon Annex, Phelps Lane, North Babylon. SCOUTS - Report at 2 PM to help set up. Class A Uniforms.

    Thursday, June 17- 7:30 PM - Court of Honor - MGV Auditorium - last Troop Meeting of this school year. Class A Uniforms.

    Saturday, June 19 - 9 AM to 1 PM - Kayaking Trip, Amityville. $20 per person. Launch out of Dingy Shop, 334 South Bayview Ave. in Amityville

    Thursday, June 24 - Camp Yawgoog meeting and Parent Informational Meeting - 7:30 PM - MGVedder School.  All money due to Mr. Ziegler and all medical forms due to Mr. Fatuzzo at this meeting.

    Saturday and Sunday, July 3 and 4 - possible Greater NYC Times Square Jamboree and overnight stay on the USS Intrepid - info to follow.

    Sunday, July 11 to Sunday, July 18 - Camp Yawgoog

    Sunday, August 7 - Troop 399 Annual Family Picnic - 9 AM to 5 PM - Phelps Lane Park, NB - Area A

    Sunday, August 15 or 22 - Troop 399 Summer Fishing Trip - info to follow.

    Sunday, September 26 (rain date - Sunday, Oct. 3) - West Islip Craft Fair - 9 AM to 5 PM - info to follow.

    Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 15, 16, and 17 - 100th Anniversary County-Wide Weekend Campout - South Haven County Park - info to follow.

    Saturday, November 13 - Troop 399 Annual Thanksgiving Dinner at Cathedral Pines Activity Building, Yaphank
