COMMUNITY SERVICE
A vital part of a scout's journey to Eagle is the amount of time and effort he gives back to his community. Requiring service projects for Star, Life and Eagle, Troop 399 has been established in the Babylon and Islip communities as a unit that demonstrates this philosophy. Troop 399 participates in five to six community service projects per year, not including individual rank projects.

| - Post information for service projects and sites of service for all scouters in the community |
| - Provide updates and templates for scouts working on their Eagle project. |

| - Bat box installation at Zahn's Park in Copiague |
| - 9/11 Memorial Garden and flagpole installation at St. John the Baptist High School in West Islip |
| - Bat box installation at Phelps Lane Park in North Babylon |
| - North Babylon entrance sign and flowerbox at the corner of Deer Park Ave. and Sylvan Road |
| - Beautification and memorial garden at Knights of Columbus building in Deer Park |
| - Brickwork and flowers at Phelps Lane Pool |
| - Installation of benches and picnic tables at parks in the Deer Park community |
| - Creation of school supplies and technology for disabled children |
| - Installation of flower boxes at Berkshire Nursing Home in West Babylon |
| - Statue installation, brickwork and beautification at Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Church in Wyandanch |
| - Food and Toy Drives in the West Babylon community |
| - Installation of horse-shoe boxes at Camp Medicine Bow at Yawgoog |
| - Clean-up and re-painting at the Protestant Cathedral at Camp Yawgoog |
| - Refurbishing of campsite signs on the outside of the Medicine Bow dining hall at Camp Yawgoog |
